Lest you decide to find and bludgeon me for my horrid measuring abilities, I will just explain that I rarely cook directly with a recipe and I quite often approximate my measurements regardless.
Also, I usually fling myself into the abyss of guesstimation. I also forget sometimes.
But it's all to taste or amount, which I'm okay with, and I feel that this is important. I am, however, trying to get better at this. I just wanted to let you know that this is why my recipes sometimes read like a seven year old playing with dolls, not a twenty-something actually feeding people.
